Marvel’s Avengers Is Getting A War Table Rework This Week

Changes have been made to the combat table to make it easier to view and select missions.

There are two things you need to know if you’re still playing Marvel’s Avengers: there are other better titles out there, and War Table is going to get a big change this week. Square Enix has announced that an update coming to the game on March 24 will redesign the War Table to make missions more streamlined and bring Nick Fury back on the Helicarrier as a guide.

“One of the first major changes you’ll notice when interacting with War Table on March 24 is that missions no longer change every 15 minutes,” explains Square Enix. “Instead, drop zones and threat sectors constantly appear on the war table, and hives appear as soon as you reach a power level comparable to the range of the region in which it is located. Each region now has a minimum power level and a recommended maximum power level; advancing at the suggested maximum power level will take you on a journey from region to region as your strength increases.”

In addition, the Villainous Sectors will be directly visible on the War Table, and you won’t need to accept the mission chain from mission issuing factions. Elite Villain Sectors will rotate weekly, and Vaults will now also show up directly on the War Table without having to get the coordinates first.

HARM Rooms have also been redesigned. Individual versions of heroes will now maintain a minimum power level of 1, and the rotation will also undergo some changes. Wasteland and Wakanda Threat Sectors replaced Flashback Missions that ended in boss fights. This ensures that no memory mission ends with a boss fight in the Villainous Sector.

Along with all these changes, the War Table will also feature new missions, including a new Sanctuary and a Villainous Sector.

It says a lot when the last news we covered was back in January and it was about a reduction in the number of players. Players shared their frustration with matchmaking, calling it “so bad it’s probably turning customers away” and “the bottom of the game since launch”. According to SteamDB, daily peak concurrent players barely exceed 500 on average.
