Britain’s Queen Elizabeth’s cousin Prince Michael of Kent stepped down as patron of a Kremlin-linked trade organization in the wake of the invasion of Ukraine.

Michael of Kent, who has strong business ties to Russia, resigned as patron of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce after he was pressured to sever all ties with Moscow.

He previously returned one of Russia’s highest awards, the Order of Friendship, after his ties to the Kremlin came under scrutiny following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

He received an award from former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in 2009 for his work on Anglo-Russian relations.

Meanwhile, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent attended the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Concert, held at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this week in London.
